News broke out Thursday that Elon Musk has become the new owner of the enterprise, but rumors were swirling around for some time that the deal was in very advanced stages.
One of his very first moves was to fire Twitter’s recently appointed CEO who came to replace Jack Dorsey who was one of the co-founders of the company.

Additionally, he fired long-time executives who were part of the company and was “comfortable” in their position. It is to be noted that Musk had been very vocal about Twitter’s management and the existential crisis facing the company if they don’t change course over the next few years.
Now that Elon Musk is in charge, analysts are predicting what might be next. A major problem that he will be focused on is trying to find a balance for free speech which has been under attack for decades and the attacks have gotten more bellicose and direct as the years go by.
This will be a difficult task but knowing Musk over the years from speeches, books, videos, etc. I am sure he will be up for the challenge.
Another thing he will be focused on is monetization, Twitter does have a lot of content from influencers who might want to monetize their audience better. Analysts are predicting that probably he might go in that direction and allow followers to subscribe to an influencer who they would like to get high-quality content from.
Overall let’s see how this move plays out. It might work it might not, the social media era is changing and the stagnation of “Meta” shows who at one point was the center of gravity in that entire ecosystem. Now overseas rivals such as TikTok and other companies are taking over the space.
As for Elon Musk, let’s see how much power he really has to change things, we all know that the “deep state” controls the media and practically what they want us to see and I am sure they would move to fight tooth and nail to keep that initiative, it’s interesting times indeed.
