One on One Educational Services Limited is a Jamaican-based company that pioneered the development and subsequent launch of the award-winning MyLocker e-Learning platform and associated courses.
It was founded by its current President and CEO, Ricardo Allen. Ricardo is a Kingston native and a JC Old Boy with a mission to fill a massive learning gap that was very noticeable in the Caribbean.
He is also a part of a growing clique of young serial entrepreneurs recently popping up out of Kingston. His peers include Tyrone Wilson – founder of iCreate Limited (ICREATE), Gordon Swaby – co-founder of EduFocal Limited (LEARN), and most recently Kadeen Mairs – founder of Dolla Financial Services Limited (DOLLA).
One On One solution covers the entire educational journey with a personalized online environment, content, and experience for learners, trainers, businesses, and governments.
The company is committed to closing knowledge gaps by helping the various individuals in the different sectors across the Caribbean be globally competitive through technology-centric learning. Its clients benefit from e-learning courses, online training, and expert tutors and trainers.
One On One is committed to empowering Caribbean communities to thrive through digital education and training solutions that have an impact on socio-economic growth.
The company is funded by some of Jamaica’s top Angel investors and the Development Bank of Jamaica as its main source of funding. Investors like Hon. Douglas Orane, Michael Bernard, and Ian Forbes just to name a few.
One-on-One inspires students to learn through mentorship, innovation, and quality lessons that are delivered in a personalized environment. This company was ahead of its time.
Companies like One On One bring me joy to see the innovation I longed for in Jamaica and the Caribbean, to show the rest of the world that we are a region of people to be taken seriously and to invest in. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an IPO in the coming weeks or months.
