Bridget Sandals: Caribbean’s Fine Luxury

Must Read

Arguably one of if not the Caribbean’s number one luxury brand that has the potential to rival Gucci, Luis Vuitton, and other well-known international luxury brands. It is a brand that is homegrown and is an authentic Jamaican product.

Bridget Sandals have been described as “wearable desserts” and things of beauty so perfect they should be “hanging on a gallery wall or from a socialite’s ear lobe”

This company was founded in 1987 by its founder Bridget Brown. Bridget is a Jamaican native that started her design journey in 1980, she started to learn about making sandals in 1982 and the rest was history.

The brand is headquartered in Kingston, Jamaica, and houses both the retail store and the factory where the staff skillfully handcrafts the line of all leather ladies’ footwear and accessories.

The Bridget Sandals line is elegantly simple ranging from leather slingbacks and ankle wrap thongs to ornamental flip flops

Her delicate detailing is often inspired by nature with floral or leaf-like embellishments available in many colours particularly metallics and other Caribbean-inspired colours.

The line boasts an eclectic mix of materials from snakeskin and nappa leather to imported fabrics which are sourced primarily from Europe, South America, and the US.

In the span of 20 years, an estimated 1000 shoe designs have been designed and produced by Bridget Sandals from crochet to leather. There are approximately 60 designs in regular production.

The company has a cadre of loyal customers through its relationship that was developed over the years and intends to keep making them happy as well as attract new ones.

Bridget Sandals has established itself as an internationally competitive brand offering quality craftsmanship, comfort, and cutting-edge designs. We look forward to seeing what this company has in store for the future.
