Where young people can’t find jobs: Statista releases information on current state of global unemployment

Must Read

Statista provided insights on the current global unemployment rate, especially for young people as we all try to adjust ourselves to this new world.

This statistical map of the world shows that Latin America & the Caribbean along with the Middle East & North Africa basically tops the world in global unemployment.

It wasn’t surprising for me as I understood the economical situation within the Latin America & Caribbean region.

The surprising thing was how closely related it was to North Africa & the Middle East where the situation in certain countries is unstable due to war, poverty, lack of education, and over the quality of life is intolerable.

Most countries from the Caribbean and Latin American region are integrated into this western ecosystem which promotes upward mobility but the numbers say otherwise.

Leaders in these regions have a lot to think about as we transition into a new age, we cannot be left behind the curve as my prediction is that if North Africa & Middle East can stay stable, we could see a resurgence in these economies.

As the global powers are shifting around as I am writing this article, we could see a completely different map in 100 years.

North America ranks fifth in the overall ranking, in Canada it is reported that 20 percent of young job seekers can’t find work. For comparison, that is similar to countries such as Nigeria, Puerto Rico, France, and others.

Overall, it was a good infographic to give us some insights into the overall global unemployment, even though it was a high-level view, we can still use Occam’s Razor and make assessments on the current situation and how to move forward.
