Tyrone Wilson is a proud Jamaican and a serial entrepreneur best known for being the Founder and CEO of iCreate Limited (ICREATE). His company was the first ever in the creative space to be listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange.
iCreate is a Creative Institute developed with the aim of filling the gap in skills training and development of creatives in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
The company provides students with a wide range of career opportunities in the Creative Economy while being a key partner of the Advertising Industry, Film Production, Animation and Gaming, and Creative Outsourcing initiatives.
The listing of iCreate Limited was unprecedented being that it was the first of its kind. It was a big win for creatives all over Jamaica and the Caribbean. This proved to the naysayers that being in the creative space can be just as fruitful as any other field.
iCreate was now on the field with the big boys and rightfully so. As of this writing the company is trading above $4 dollars (JMD) a share. This has been an exceptional year for the company. It goes to show that the right vision with timely execution can accomplish great things.
The company IPO at $1.01 (JMD) per share on February 1, 2019.
Tyrone created a home for established and upcoming creatives to become certified and well equipped with the necessary skills needed to navigate the new world, the digital world that was untapped and brewing with opportunities.
Tyrone is one of those visionaries that surfaces at the end of one era and the beginning of a new era. He has opened the door for not just creatives but entrepreneurs in other unorthodox fields to make an attempt at challenging the naysayers.
