Tiktok, the world’s fastest-growing social platform, will be experimenting with NFTs with Tik Tok Top Moments. It features content from their main creators such as Grimes, Lil Nas X, Bella Poarch, etc. On their website page for this launch, they explained the main idea behind this.

TikTok Top Moments features a selection of six culturally significant TikTok videos from some of the most beloved creators on the platform. These featured creators, renowned for their cultural impact, have partnered with prominent NFT artists on one-of-one and limited edition NFTs that will include real-world redeemable value provided by the creator.

This seems to be the beginning of an NFT journey for Tik Tok as they see this as a new space that will bring value to users and creators.

Inspired by the creativity and innovation of the TikTok creator community, TikTok is exploring the world of NFTs as a new creator empowerment tool. NFTs are a new way for creators to be recognized and rewarded for their content and for fans to own culturally significant moments on TikTok.

The creation that happens on TikTok helps drive culture and start trends that impact society. TikTok will bring something unique and groundbreaking to the NFT landscape by curating some of these cultural milestones and pairing them with prominent NFT artists.

Overall, this seems like good news for the NFT market. As more companies start to enter this space, the market will get even more legitimized in front of investors and potential participants. There have been reports that Facebook is toying with the idea and will probably launch something soon.

Xbox Cloud Gaming Now Reaches 1 Billion People, Microsoft Says

0

Today, Mircosoft announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming is expanding to four new countries: Japan, Mexico, Brazil, and Australia, starting on October 1.

Microsoft is trying to reach 3 billion gamers around the world, and no single piece of Xbox hardware will be able to achieve that, so Microsoft is turning to cloud streaming to expand its reach.

As part of Microsoft’s Tokyo Game Show event, the company announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming has launched in Brazil and Mexico, while it’s coming to Australia and Japan on October 1. This gives Xbox Cloud Gaming a potential audience of 1 billion right now, the company claims.

Microsoft continues to push Xbox Cloud Gaming, which shows that the publisher is committed to putting its content wherever players can easily access it. This is especially great considering that “next-gen” consoles remain hard to find even almost a year after launch.

If Microsoft continues to refind the service, many users might feel that they don’t need to upgrade to the new Series X/S platform, finding they’re content to play the newest games on old hardware. Case in point, the cloud service is coming to Xbox Consoles this Holiday, letting users play select Xbox Series X games on their Xbox One.

As Microsoft continues to put its resource into services like Xbox Cloud Gaming and Game Pass, the services will only improve creating a great alternative for those without a Series X/S.

Still, we hope that Microsoft continues to work to solve the consoles shortage problem so that players who want to get their hands on the latest tech can do just that. Games are fun, and having more ways to play them is always better.

Cristiano Ronaldo: Manchester United forward among six players nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award

0

Cristiano Ronaldo’s three goals in as many Premier League games see him named on the six-man September Player of the Month shortlist; Joao Cancelo, Antonio Rudiger, Allan Saint-Maximin, Mohamed Salah, and Ismaila Sarr are also included.

Ronaldo, who returned to Old Trafford from Juventus in August, also scored in United’s 2-1 win at West Ham on September 19.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is also among those named to September shortlist.

Fans are encouraged to get involved and select their winner through the EA Sports website, with a deadline of noon on Monday, October 4.

His latest contribution to winning a match left Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer singing his praise after the match.

“He’s done it so many times,” Solskjaer said of Ronaldo. “When you saw him against the Republic of Ireland a few weeks ago [for Portugal], missed an early penalty, touched no more or less the ball, and then scored two big headers in the final two minutes.

“That’s what he’s done throughout his career. He’s so strong mentally. He stays in the game, I’ve seen him all day today, the way he’s prepared for this game, how focused he’s been, and when. He gets it, chance, it’s a goal, but a true mark of a very good striker is that he stays calm when the opportunity comes.

“He’s so good in front of the goal and he has an impact on everyone – the crowd, the players, everyone.”

Resident Evil 4 VR heads to Oculus Quest 2 on October 21

0

A virtual reality version of Resident Evil 4 will launch on October 21st on Facebook’s Oculus Quest 2 headset.

Capcom announced the remake back in April. The Gamecube classic has been retooled for VR by Oculus Studios and Armature Studio. You’ll control Leon from a first-person perspective rather than looking over his shoulder.

Several aspects, such as combat and inventory management, were reworked to take advantage of VR.

You can use physical movements to pick up and use weapons and items. Instead of switching to a menu to swap guns, you can grab a different one from your holster.

Whether you play standing or seated is up to you, as there’s support for teleportation and room-scale movement, though you’ll primarily use the analog stick for navigation.

Armature’s Resident Evil 4 makes a somewhat complicated series of small changes to the original 2005 horror game. It’s supposed to feature the same narrative content and world design, rather than getting the kind of overhaul Resident Evil 2 did in 2019.

first person in Resident Evil

Facebook says the original QuickTime event placements and animations are going to stay the same, although some of the actions have been “updated” to work better in VR.

(We’ll be waiting to see how the game’s more acrobatic sections translate to a headset.) Some of the quick-time events will involve quickly moving the controllers, while others will ask you to pull their triggers at the same time.

Other tweaks would make sense in any remaster. The game’s textures have been updated, and Armature has made enemies less likely to target your partner Ashley, who you’ll spend a lot of time protecting in either version of the game.

Hitman GOTY review bombed on GOG due to DRM

0

Hitman: Game of the Year Edition recently became available on GOG at a discount, but players are not happy and have been giving the game low scores.

Since the franchise was rebooted a few years ago, Hitman has been going from strength to strength. With Hitman 3 surging past its predecessor in terms of sales earlier this year, it seems as though there is still a lot of life left in the series, even though the studio is taking a break from the capers of Agent 47 to concentrate on a new IP.

However, despite the popularity of the reboot, there are some gamers who have been less than pleased with the 2016 installment and have been making that known.

The review bombing took place during the weekend. Currently, Hitman – Game of the Year Edition sits at a ★1.5/5 rating in GOG. Several users expressed their concerns about the game’s online requirement despite being on a storefront that supposedly hands complete control to users over their games.

“This is completely shameful, on both the side of the publisher, for not working an actual DRM-Free version and on the side of GOG, for selling this as a ‘DRM-Free’ version, when its clearly not the case,” reads one user review from Neurus_Ex. “This game should’ve never gotten past GOG’s curation,” claims another from ZireaelPC.

Addressing the issue on the community forums, GOG said it was looking into the matter and would offer an update in the coming weeks, before calling out review bombers and indicating it will be removing posts that don’t follow its guidelines.

“Thank you for bringing this topic to our attention,” said a GOG spokesperson(as spotted by Eurogamer). “We’re looking into it and will be updating you in the coming weeks.

In case you have purchased Hitman and are not satisfied with the released version, you can use your right to refund the game.

At the same time, while we’re open for meritful discussion and feedback, we will not tolerate review bombing and will be removing posts that do not follow our review guidelines.”

At the time of writing, the Hitman: Game of the Year listing still contains reams of negative user reviews and continues to tout the title as “DRM free.”

Lionel Messi Scores His First Goal For PSG

0

Lionel Messi has opened his Paris Saint-Germain goal account in a typically stunning fashion, scoring a beauty against Manchester City.

During PSG’s Champions League game against Manchester City, Lionel Messi received a pass towards the outside of the box and promptly buried into the top right corner to give his team a 2-0 lead.

Shortly after the goal, social media was erupting with Lionel Messi excitement.

Lionel Messi’s PSG squad will take the impressive win against Manchester City with a lot of the credit going to their newest star.

Shortly before the match, Man City manager Pep Guardiola admitted that he didn’t have too many answers on how to stop a PSG team with Messi in the mix.

“I don’t know,” Guardiola said at a news conference on Monday after being asked how to stop Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar. “This amount of quality, I don’t know what we should do to stop them, honestly.

“They’re so good. This amount of talent altogether, to control it is so difficult.”

Lionel Messi’s PSG team will now set their sights on the Champions League trophy after the legend was finally able to notch his first goal with his new club.

Citadel Securities came out of hiding to deny claims of trading restrictions

0

At the cusp of the year, for a brief moment in time, it was as if covid-19 was a thing of the past. GameStop mania took over the financial markets and further bled over into the average media.

It was driven by a collective of anonymous and risky speculators who wanted to squeeze out the big guys for once. They bought GameStop shares which drove up the stock. It then triggered a squeeze for the hedge funds and speculative investors who were on the deal.

The plan worked to near perfection. The little guys were celebrating and harvesting the power of network effects on the internet. But then the party came to an abrupt end. Robinhood decided to halt all trading of GameStop shares and other “meme stocks”. But why? That’s the question that has been lingering around the minds of the collective at the time.

Since then, there have been countless accusations, incoherent statements, and a statement by their CEO ken Griffiths denying the accusations in front of Congress.

What’s surprising is that after 9 months, they finally folded under the pressure due to a recent trend on Twitter. Releasing a series of tweets of course denying any involvement:

It remains to be seen what will happen. Regulators haven’t released any official or solid report as yet. Investors are still curious as to what might’ve occurred, let’s see how it goes over the next coming months.

Marvel’s Avengers Will Feature New Story Content For Spider-Man

0

Fans have been expectantly waiting on any news about what they can expect from the upcoming Spider-Man content in Marvel’s Avengers. After going silent about the character for a while, Square Enix recently confirmed that the webhead’s addition will bring additional story and cutscenes.

Marvel’s Avengers senior producer Dan Matlack briefly mentioned the content during an exchange on the game’s official Discord.

“Spider-Man is what we call an ‘event’ so he will have cut scenes and a story for sure,” he wrote (via MP1ST).

Marvel’s Avengers Spider-Man character will be released before the end of the year, Crystal Dynamics confirmed earlier this month.

Crystal Dynamics associate art director, Jeff Adams, gave fans a taste of what to expect from the Spider-Man content in a PlayStation Blog post last August.

“When Spider-Man comes to our stable of heroes, we’ll be marking his debut with an in-game event that will introduce him to the wider world of Marvel’s Avengers,” he wrote. “The event is comprised of a series of unique challenges for the hero to take on, testing his abilities, and yielding some exciting results.

“And like the rest of our heroes in Marvel’s Avengers, we will offer multiple cosmetic outfits and gameplay experience options, so you can make your vision of the wall-crawler a reality.”

Marvel’s Avengers first confirmed that Spider-Man would arrive in the game, albeit controversially as a PlayStation-exclusive character, in August last year. At the time, it was thought that the character would arrive during a release window in early 2021.

However, fan concerns increased as the introduction of Spider-Man was delayed and a long silence from the studio fell around, to the character.

Earlier this month, however, a new roadmap for Marvel’s Avengers confirmed that the developer was on track to release Spider-Man before the end of 2021.

Warzone’s Latest Update Is Causing Issues For Some Players

0

Call of Duty: Warzone fans are reporting extreme lag within the game’s menus, which is making the game unplayable for some players.

Criticism of Call of Duty: Warzone, or any online multiplayer game for that matter, is common. There are always players who take issue with balance or progression as the developers at Raven Software make adjustments or add new content.

Often, this criticism is a matter of preference or wishful thinking. However, the latest issue many Call of Duty: Warzone players are struggling with is much more serious, as a recent patch appears to have caused significant frame rate issues in the battle royale game.

Warzone players aren’t strangers to strange bugs and glitches. Some can be game-breaking like the one that allows players to win games while an enemy is still alive, while others are just strange, such as players seeing inside their own skulls.

Raven Software introduced a new update patch on September 23, and Warzone players are reporting various stability problems that arrived in the game shortly after it went live.

Without more specific detail on what Raven Software has changed, it’s impossible to guess what’s caused the lagging issues in Call of Duty: Warzone‘s menus.

And without that, there’s no real way for players to work around the issue or try and solve it on their own. All players can do is hope Raven is aware of the issue and that it’ll correct it in time.

It’s the unfortunate nature of games, and online multiplayer games specifically, that things can go wrong unintentionally. Call of Duty: Warzone is a massive, complex game, technically speaking.

Even a small change can have dramatic consequences in a completely unforeseen way. Further, robust testing can miss a bug that hits a fraction of Call of Duty: Warzones. What matters is how quickly Raven is able to catch this feedback and respond, and hopefully, a response comes soon.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
